Our Story

We are helping reduce greenhouse gas emissions

Environmental issues have always been of concern to us, especially global warming.

​

Animal agriculture is responsible for 14.5% of global greenhouse gas emissions*. The world needs to find plant based alternatives for animal protein – one such solution is Rice Bran.

Rice Bran is naturally rich in Plant Protein and Dietary Fiber, therefore it is a very good plant based alternative for all consumers especially Vegan and Vegetarians. Some plant based foods may be high in protein but lack fiber, whereas rice bran is rich in both Protein and Dietary Fiber.

By preparing it naturally, without any additives, we are not polluting the environment. Furthermore, we are taking a wasted by-product of the rice mills and converting it to a highly nutritious ‘Superfood’ that will help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

      SPEKTRUM TECHNOLOGY Co. No. 202103018756 (TR0234242-P) was registered with the Companies Commission of Malaysia on 18th January 2021. The company was formed to conduct Research and Develop a Method Suitable for Stabilizing Rice Bran for human consumption and manufacturing it in large scale. The method must inactivate all endogenous lipase naturally present in rice bran prior to use or storage for human consumption and must be scalable. During the inactivation process two further challenges must be overcome:

  1. To preserve all the nutrients naturally present in rice bran

  2. To have a shelf life that is meaningful when put on the supermarket shelf

     We have developed a method to manufacture Stabilized Rice Bran in high volume. We do not add salt, sugar, chemicals, enzymes, preservatives, or any other additives in our process. Using this method, we stabilize the raw rice bran as-is, grind into a fine powder and package it for shipment, resulting in our

Rice Bran Powder being pure and natural. The rice bran is stabilized and our product is manufactured and packed in Malaysia, using rice bran sourced from Malaysian rice producers.

     Our key contributions during the development of our technology:

  • We are the first company in Malaysia and in South-East Asia to manufacture Stabilized Rice Bran Successfully

  • We have preserved all the natural nutrients in rice bran

  • We are the first in the world to have a shelf life of 2 years

  • We convert a Waste into a Superfood which is plant based

  • We are taking a by-product and making it into a value-added commodity in the food industry

  • It is naturally non-GMO

  • Our product is suitable for Vegans and Vegetarians

  • Our manufacturing process is scalable to very high volume

  • We do not pollute the environment during our manufacturing process, we have zero air-discharges and we have zero waste-water discharges

  • We are helping reduce Greenhouse Gas Emissions

 

     We are continuously striving to improve our manufacturing process and quality of our product.

     We are at the same time developing new products which we can introduce to our customers using Rice

      Bran Powder.

     We use accredited laboratories to conduct food tests and analysis of our Rice Bran Powder.

     Our product is manufactured and packed in Malaysia, using rice bran sourced from Malaysian rice

       producers
